At least one dead in Hamilton after 2-vehicle collision closes John Street

Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Hamilton that left at least one person without vital signs Sunday night.
The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. in the area of John and Young streets in Hamilton’s Corktown neighbourhood.
Hamilton Police tweeted Monday morning that the Special Investigations Unit has invoked their mandate, which occurs when an officer is involved in an incident causing serious injury or death.
Hamilton Police are investigating a serious two motor vehicle collision that occurred shortly before 11p.m. last night.

Shortly after fire crews responded to the crash, a tweet from Hamilton Fire indicated that vital signs were absent (VSA).
