Assault in Quinte West leads to charges for Durham Region man

A man from Durham Region was arrested in Quinte West following an assault.

According to the OPP, their officers were called to a business on Dundas St. around 7 p.m. on Jun. 4. When police arrived their investigation resulted in the arrest of Joshua Cripps, 41, of Durham Region.

The OPP did not specify where within the Region Cripps was from, or the circumstances that led to his arrest. However, he has been charged with two counts of assault and threatening death or bodily harm.

Cripps remains in police custody until a court appearance in Belleville.
