An art event that will feature the work of several local artists is set to hit Port Credit in Mississauga this weekend.

Arts on the Credit launched back in 2011 and is a nonprofit arts organization that showcases and promotes local artists with annual high-end juried shows.

The organization’s next event will take place on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Waterside Inn, located at 15 Stavebank Rd. South.

Attendees can expect to see some locally-made artworks on display which will include ceramics, glass, wood, jewellery, textiles, photography and paintings in oils, acrylics and mixed media.

The event will feature work by artists such as Janet Bryne, Darlene Kulig and Tanya of Studio Tiny Loft.

“These are only a few of the many inspiring artists you’ll meet at the November show,” said Marie Payne, founder and president of Arts on the Credit. “Expect the best show yet!”

Along with art displays, the event is also set to feature live music by Mo Guzman and Arlene Paculan.

Admission to the event is free.
