Arrest made in connection to shooting at Milton business

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested 26-year-old Dakari Daniel of Milton in relation to a shooting that occurred at a Milton business.

According to police, Daniel was arrested on Friday, June 11, 2021. Police say investigators also executed a search warrant at a residence in Milton at that time.

Daniel has since been charged with discharge firearm, disguise with intent, robbery with a firearm, point firearm, discharge firearm with intent, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, possession contrary to order and careless storage of ammunition, according to police.

Police say Daniel was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police are once again asking anyone who was in the area of Derry Rd. and Bronte St. South, in Milton, on June 10, between 6:40 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. that may have dashcam or CCTV footage to reach out to investigators.
