Arrest made in 7 break-and-enters at businesses in Brampton

A Brampton man faces charges in connection to seven break-and-enter incidents at local businesses.

Between January and February 2024, there were multiple break-ins at businesses in the downtown core of Brampton, Peel Regional Police said in a press release today (Feb. 22).

The businesses varied from auto/mechanic shops to medical businesses. Cash, tools, vehicles and medical supplies were among the items taken, police said.

On Feb. 17, Timothy Vanheeswyk, 34, of Brampton was arrested and charged with seven counts of break-and-enter and property-related offences.

He was held for a bail hearing as he was out of custody on other release orders.
