Arrest made following fatal crash that claimed life of mother and her three children

Police have made an arrest in relation to a fatal collision that claimed the life a 37-year-old woman and her three young children.
The crash occurred in the Torbram Road and Countryside Drive area in Brampton last week.
Police say that on the afternoon of June 18, 2020, Caledon woman Karolina Ciasullo was driving her 2018 Volkswagen Atlas northbound on Torbram Road with her three children, Klara, 6, Lilianna, 3, and Mila, 1, in the vehicle with her.
According to police, 20-year-old Caledon man Brady Robertson was travelling eastbound on Countryside Road in a blue Infiniti G35 at a “high rate of speed” when he collided with the Volkswagen, redirecting it into a light pole.
Police say the Infiniti then collided head-on with a Honda that was stopped westbound on Countryside Road at the red light.
“Despite the best efforts of first responders and medical personnel, all four occupants of the Volkswagon died as a result of the collision,” police said in a statement.

Police say the driver of the Infiniti is also a suspect in a driving incident that occurred in Caledon on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Police allege that at approximately 8:25 p.m., an Infiniti was involved in a minor collision at the intersection of Dougal Road and Kennedy Road.
Police say citizens approached the vehicle to offer assistance, but the driver reportedly sped away.
A video of the incident shows the driver of the Infiniti appearing unresponsive behind the wheel before colliding with some objects on the sidewalk.
Police allege that officers from the Caledon OPP Detachment observed the vehicle travelling in a dangerous manner eastbound on King Street. According to police, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but could not do so safely.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, Robertson was arrested and charged with four counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. He has also been charged with one additional count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to the Caledon incident.
He was remanded to July 23, 2020 for a bail hearing.
A memorial service for Karolina Ciasullo and her children was held at 1 p.m. on June 25 at the St. Eugene de Mazenod church in Brampton. Ciasullo was an elementary school teacher with the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board.
