Arrest made by Halton police after fatal overdose last year

A drug overdose that resulted in a fatality last year led Halton police to make an arrest yesterday.

According to police, information contained on the deceased’s mobile phone led to the arrest and subsequent search warrant at a Hamilton residence.

Trayvon Spencer, 20, of Stoney Creek has been charged with possession and trafficking of cocaine, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Seized at the home where the search warrant was presented were 26 grams of cocaine, approximately $30,000 in Canadian currency, six cellular phones, and a digital scale.

Spencer was released on an Undertaking.
