Arrest Made After Reported Road Rage Incident in Mississauga

A man is facing charges in connection with a possible shooting incident in Mississauga.

Peel police say that on Sunday, July 8, 2018, a 44-year-old North York man was driving in the Dundas Street East and Universal Drive area in Mississauga when he got into an argument with another driver.

Police allege the victim heard two loud bangs and his windshield was shattered.

The victim was not injured, police say. 

On Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, investigators located the accused in the City of Toronto and arrested him.

During the arrest, police allegedly located a fully loaded firearm along with additional ammunition.

Police say 25-year-old Toronto man Shayeed James has been charged with numerous firearm offences, along with aggravated assault and mischief over $5,000.

The accused was held for a bail hearing that took place on Oct. 3.
