Arrest Made After Alleged Sexual Assault by Mississauga Karate Instructor in 1998

Police have made an arrest in connection to multiple sexual assaults that reportedly occurred more than 20 years ago.

On January 11, 2019, a woman in her 30s reported that she was sexually assaulted as a young person in the summer of 1998.

The victim was a student at a martial arts centre in the Park Royal area, police say.

During this time, it’s alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a karate instructor on three separate occasions.

At 8:00 p.m. on January 11, 2019, police arrested Amanullah Yousufy, a 44 year old man from Mississauga.

Yousufy is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
