Four male youths have been charged in an armed robbery of an Oakville pharmacy last Friday (Feb. 3)

Halton Regional Police say four males entered the Pharmasave Pharmacy, located at 225 Speers Rd., around 4 p.m. and demanded staff open the safe.

One of the suspects pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded the safe be open.

The four teens would step behind the counter and steal narcotics before fleeing the scene in a light-coloured SUV.

Police responded to the call in time to see the suspects driving away and attempted to stop the vehicle. The four males were arrested after their vehicle ran into police vehicles.

The suspects’ vehicle had been reported stolen in Peel Region the previous day (Thursday, Feb. 2).
