The OPP are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident involving a gun on Highway 401 in Ajax on Thursday morning.
Police say two vehicles – a black Ford Escape and a black Honda Civic – were involved in a minor collision near Salem Road and Kingston Road at approximately 9:20 a.m. on July 16.
The vehicles continued onto the westbound express lanes where one of the drivers was seen brandishing a firearm and shots were allegedly fired.
Road rage on highways in the GTA have been on the rise of late and police are asking any witnesses to this incident are asked to call Toronto OPP at (416) 235-4981.

The incident happened less than a week after a loaded 3D printed handgun was discovered in a vehicle that was involved in a collision at the intersection of Highway 401 and Highway 412 in Whitby.
Police say the driver who was arrested, a 30-year-old from Pickering, was also found wearing a holster. Further search of the vehicle and his residence – after a warrant was obtained – revealed additional 3D printed firearm components, firearms, knives and ammunition.

The man is facing multiple weapons charges and was remanded in custody.
