Peel Regional Police have arrested a Brampton man following a road rage investigation where the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm at another driver and then fled the area.

On Friday (Mar. 17) 2023, police responded to a weapons call near the area of Williams Pkwy/Fletchers Creek Blvd in Brampton.

Police say that a motorist reported the incident who allegedly was involved in a brief altercation with the suspect, who pointed a gun at the victims and made threats to kill them before fleeing the scene.

“No shots were fired and no one sustained any injuries,” officers said.

Detectives were able to identify the vehicle and were waiting for approval to conduct a search warrant.

Investigations continued, as police arrived at a residence in Brampton and followed through with a search warrant.

Police say they located the driver in question, 33-year-old Anthony Daley.

A subsequent search of Daley’s vehicle revealed an illegal loaded handgun, body armour and a number of illicit drugs, police say.

Officers say, Anthony Daley was held in custody for a bail hearing, and has been charged with ten Criminal Code Offences including: uttering threats to cause bodily harm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact investigators with the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 extension 2233.
