The City of Hamilton will be completing rockfall protection work that will close parts of the Sherman Access for approximately six weeks.

The scope of work includes escarpment scaling of loose rocks and the installation of rockfall meshing between the Wentworth stairs and the Sherman Cut.

The west leg of the access between the Sherman Cut and Charlton Ave will be closed beginning July 5. Weather permitting, the west leg will be re-opened in late August.

Access to Charlton Ave and the Wentworth stairs will be maintained during the work.

HSR is not expected to be impacted.
