Marco Polo Restobar opened in 2016 in the Clarkson neighbourhood and was an addition to the oldest community in Mississauga.

Proprietors Kyle Oliveira and Brian Capin took over the old Katerina’s Greek Cuisine located on 1971 Lakeshore in Clarkson. It took about a month to renovate the space, which involved gutting it completely.

The Mustangs Bar and Grill then took over the property after Marco Polo Restobar closed down. On January 21, Mustang Bar and Grill took to Facebook to say that it was also closing down.

“Mustangs Bar and Grill is closed. Business sold. Something new will be coming soon to Clarkson. Thank you for your support. Sincerely Management,” they wrote.

Recently, we visited 1971 Lakeshore in Clarkson and noticed a big sign with “Chocoolate” written on it.

After doing some research online, we found that three new restaurants will be taking over the site.

Though there is not a lot of information about Chocoolate Boutique and Lounge online, it seems like the lounge will offer Middle Eastern food. The lounge and boutique already has a Facebook page, an Instagram and a website; however, there is not a lot of information on all three.

On May 2, the restaurant posted a picture with the line “we’re almost ready to take your taste buds on new adventures.”

The second restaurant we found was Samooon Resto. Like the other restaurant, Samooon also has a website, Facebook page and Instagram. Though there is not enough information about the new place online, we do know that Samooon offers many different cuisines and has a hookah lounge. The place also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The third restaurant at the location is Room Service and Co – though, we are unsure if it is a physical resto or just online.

Room Service and Co is a food service that serves food 24 hours a day. On their Facebook, they state that they are a new concept that delivers food right to your doors. It also serves international cuisine. People can order food from the location off of Foodora, Skip The Dishes and DoorDash now.

Are you as curious as us to find out what the future of this location holds?
