Mississauga is in store for a wet but warmer than usual April, according to a tried and true prognosticator of the weather.

Farmers’ Almanac predicts the first few days of the month will be sunny and cool before regular showers take over around April 5.

The rain will then continue each week for the rest of the month with thunder storms slated for April 16-20 and a few brief periods of cold spells.

However, temperatures are predicted to be 3 degree Celsius warmer than usual with the average settling around the 10 Celsius mark for most of the month.

But as the song goes, April showers should help to prompt May flowers, which, at least, should keep gardeners happy this Spring.
