A small apartment fire sent emergency crews to Mississauga’s Rockwood Village area early Wednesday.
“It was confined to the balcony,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Paolo Carretta.
Firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment at 4100 Ponytrail Dr. around 12:45 a.m.
That’s near Rathburn Rd. E. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. E.
Two upper level floors - 10 and 11 - were evacuated for about 90 minutes until the smoke cleared.
Tires and a cover being stored on the balcony are what caught fire.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause is under investigation.
