While we’re enjoying somewhat cooler temperatures today, the heat is expected to come back in full force.

After two days of heat warnings, another has been issued for this upcoming weekend, with very hot and humid conditions expected Friday and Saturday (July 22-23).

Daytime temperatures will feel like the upper thirties with the humidity, and it’s possible the heat could continue into Sunday.

Nights will be warm as well, with overnight lows near 20 degrees Celsius.

Residents are advised to continue watching for symptoms of heat illness: Swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.

Make sure pets, children and seniors are staying cool as they’re particularly vulnerable to the heat.

“Seek a cool place such as a tree-shaded area, swimming pool, shower or bath, or air conditioned spot like a public building,” Environment Canada officials say.
