Another 26 new COVID-19 cases today in Niagara Region

Another 26 new cases of COVID-19 in Niagara Region today (November 17) as the Delta variant is making it clear the battle is far from over in the region.

With 19 resolved cases today, Niagara stands at 239 ongoing cases. At the moment, there are 17 people are in hospital locally – three in the ICU. Eight of the 17 are fully vaccinated; nine are unvaccinated.

St. Catharines continues to have the biggest caseload with 77 ongoing while Niagara Falls and Lincoln trail with 36 and 33 cases respectively.

Fort Erie and Wellend both have 22 ongoing cases with Niagara-on-the-Lake following them with 14.

The remaining six municipalities run from a low of three cases in Wainfleet up to eight cases in Port Colborne.
