This year’s Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital, which took place on Sept. 25, raised over $80,000 for Georgetown Hospital.

The event featured hundreds of participants who gathered in the rain to raise money for a good cause.

“What a day to remember! Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, will go down in the history books as the dampest Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital,” reads the hospital’s website.

“Not even a few rain drops stopped our community from coming out in droves to raise funds for Georgetown Hospital, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from such a giving group of people.”

The event raised more than $83,000 which will go towards purchasing vital equipment and technology for the hospital.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital,” reads a video posted on the hospital’s Facebook page. “Because of your generosity, we were able to raise more than $83,000 for Georgetown Hospital.”
