An annual used bike swap is happening soon in Halton Hills.

As part of the Town’s Earth Day celebrations, the Halton Hills Bike it Committee will be hosting their annual bike swap event on Saturday, Apr. 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre, located at 11620 Trafalgar Rd.

This event will give residents the opportunity to recycle their used bikes in an environmentally friendly way by allowing another person to put them to good use. Additionally, those interested in purchasing a bike will be able to do so with all proceeds going to local food banks.

Donated bikes and trikes can be dropped off at the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre between Apr. 27 to 29, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. or the morning of the event between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Kid bikes will be sold for $10, youth bikes will be $20, premium youth bikes will be $40 and adult bikes will be individually priced.

Bikes will be sold “as is” and must be purchased with cash only.
