Annual tree sale in Halton Hills sells out in under three hours

Mississauga and its 2.1 million trees applauded by United Nations

The Town of Halton Hills’ annual tree sale has sold out in under three hours.

The sale, which was held online, featured a total of 1,200 trees that were available for purchase by Halton Hills residents on Apr. 22 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

“We are officially sold out! 1,200 trees sold in less than 3 hours. Thank you Halton Hills for another amazingly successful Tree Sale,” wrote the Town of Halton Hills on Twitter.

Various species of trees were available for purchase this year including the alternate leaved dogwood, common chokecherry, eastern white cedar, eastern white pine, red maple, red oak, downy serviceberry, sugar maple, white birch and white spruce.
