The City of Brampton is hosting its annual food and toy drive to help those in need ahead of the holiday season.

From Dec. 1 to 16, the community may donate non-perishable food items, new unwrapped toys and gift cards, all of which will be distributed to families in need within the community.

Some of the most-needed items this year include breakfast supplies such as cereal, pancake mix, syrup, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Additionally, they include side dishes such as stuffing, instant mashed potato, side kicks and condiments such as mayonnaise, ketchup, salad dressing, oil, peanut butter and Nutella.

Snacks are also needed along with fruit juices, rice, flour, canned items such as milk, fruit and meats and grocery store gift cards to provide families with culturally appropriate foods.

Donations can be made at City Hall, Brampton Community Centres and select Libraries.
