Local film buffs may be excited to know that the Milton Film Festival is making a comeback in January.

The annual festival will be welcoming its audience back to its temporary new home at the John Elliott Theatre in Georgetown.

According to the event’s website, the ongoing closure of the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton has resulted in this temporary move.

“We are looking forward to once again offering you the wonderful experience of watching films on the big screen, live and in-person in the company of your fellow film lovers,” reads the event’s website.

Additional films will also be available online through the Virtual Festival part of its program.

The festival will begin on Jan. 29, 2022, with a full week of virtual films and will follow with three days of in-person screenings beginning Feb. 4.
