An unusual product recall was just announced by Costco Canada

Costco is famous for selling pretty much anything and everything.

Just take a look at this list of some massive products that were sold at the Costco Business Centre in Mississauga.

And now the retail giant has announced a recall for a product that many may not have realized it sells.

Costco Canada’s customer service site has posted a recall notice for a go-kart because of an issue that could lead to a serious injury.

“Costco Wholesale records indicate you may have purchased the Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart (Costco Item# 1851527) at a Costco warehouse or on Costco.ca between November 2025 and June 2026,” it says.

“Hunter Products USA, the manufacturer of the Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart, is voluntarily recalling this product due to the potential that it may have a faulty accelerator pedal, which could lead to immediate acceleration upon connection of the battery and may pose a risk of serious injury….

“As of July 21, 2026, Hunter Products USA has received six reports of immediate acceleration, which may have been caused by the faulty accelerator pedal used with the Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart. At least one report led to physical injuries.”

Those who purchased the go-kart are being told to immediately stop using it and contact Hunter Products USA for a free repair kit.

The repair can be made using basic household tools, and the kit will include instructions.

If someone doesn’t want to repair the go-kart, they are able to bring it to a Costco warehouse for a full refund.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to please pass this letter along to anyone to whom Aston Martin Formula One 36V Go-Kart may have been given,” the notice says.
