‘Amazing Race’ event in Milton raises over $50,000 for local organization

An “Amazing Race” type event that recently took place in the Town of Milton raised over $50,000 for a local organization.

The second annual HerQuest for Hospice Race is in support of the Townsend Smith Foundation, a charitable organization that is working to build a hospice for North Halton.

The event aims to bring women together in a competitive environment and featured teams that competed in challenges throughout Milton that tested their physical capacity, intellectual competence and ability to work together as a team.

This year’s event, which took place on Sept. 17, raised a total of $58,403 that will go towards building a hospice in North Halton.
