Fog advisory in effect for southern Ontario

UPDATE: As of 10:13 a.m., Environment Canada has ended the fog advisory.


There is a fog advisory in effect for southern Ontario today (March 2.)

As of 8:19 a.m., the following areas are part of the fog advisory:

  • Mississauga
  • Brampton
  • Hamilton
  • Burlington
  • Milton
  • Halton Hills
  • Pickering
  • Whitby
  • Oshawa
  • Niagara Region

According to Environment Canada, a dense fog has formed with some areas experiencing near zero visibility.

Travel is likely to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution, reduce speed, and be prepared to stop if visibility is limited while also watching for tail lights ahead.
