Most school boards closed in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Halton, Durham and Niagara Region due to snow

Due to a winter storm that can be bringing up to 40 cm of snowfall in some areas there are some major school closures today in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Halton and Durham Region.

Here are the school boards that are closed:

Peel Region: Student DPCDSB and PDSB schools are both closed. DPCDSB students will continue with virtual learning while all class is cancelled at the PDSB.

Hamilton-Wentwoth District School Board: All in-person learning and childcare is cancelled due to snowfall. Remote learning is also cancelled for the day.

Halton Catholic District School Board: All schools are closed today due to snowfall and all in-person and virtual class is cancelled.

Halton District School Board: All schools are closed due to snowfall.

Durham Region: All buses in all zones are cancelled due to inclement weather. The DDSB says elementary schools remain open in all areas but secondary students will pivot to remote learning.

Niagara Region: All DSBN schools (including remote learning) and administrative sites are closed. Please keep warm and safe!
