All natural-grass sports fields in Burlington closed because of rain on June 7

The City of Burlington has announced all local natural-grass sports fields are closed on June 7.

The amount of rain that fell Monday and Tuesday was too much for most fields to handle and the City doesn’t want to risk more severe damage.

Artificial grass sports fields will remain reopen.

With the end of the rain, this is expected to be a short-term situation.
