A personal support worker from Hamilton thought something went wrong when she checked her Lotto 6/49 ticket using the OLG Lottery.

“It sounded like bells went off and I thought something was wrong,” said Kathy Roksa. “My husband and son checked the ticket themselves and said, you won $6 million.”

The 63-year-old grandmother became an instant millionaire after cashing in her ticket from the Mar. 20, 2021 draw.

Kathy says her $6 million winnings will be shared with her five children and two grandchildren.

She also plans to complete house renovations.

“All my stress is gone. My life will be good from here on out,” Kathy concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fortinos on Highway 8 in Stoney Creek.
