All lanes closed on Hwy 401 for a death investigation in Mississauga

A death investigation is ongoing on Hwy 401 in Mississauga (Jan 11).

The death investigation is taking place at Hwy 401 and Dixie Road westbound in the express lanes.

The closure is between Renforth Drive and Hwy 403 on Hwy 401 westbound.

All traffic is being forced into the collector lanes.

The incident took place around 5 am. A male pedestrian died at the scene, and a female pedestrian is in hospital.

According to OPP the male was outside the vehicle when he was hit twice.

OPP is asking anyone that has witnessed the incident to come forward.

Express lanes will be closed for most of the morning.
