All buses canceled for both Niagara school boards due to snow

While all schools are open in the District School Board of Niagara and Niagara Catholic District School Board this morning (Jan. 25), students will have to find their own way as all school buses have been canceled.

With Environment Canada calling for anywhere from 10 to 20 cm (four to eight inches) of snow later this afternoon, the Niagara Student Transportation Services canceled every bus run “out of an abundance of caution.”

While the snow was not predicted until this afternoon, a light snowfall has already begun in most of Niagara Region.

Anticipating low attendance, the District School Board of Niagara tweeted out that “Secondary exams/culminating activities are moved to tomorrow.”
