Ajax teen sexual assault victim met suspect online, police say

An investigation by Durham Police into a violent sexual assault on a 14 year-old girl in Ajax July 13 has discovered that the victim met the suspect online.

The suspect description has also been updated. He is described as Black, in his 30s, 5’6″ to 5’7″ tall with a medium to large build. He was driving a black newer model sedan, similar to a Honda Accord.

The assault happened between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. as the victim was walking on a trail in the area of Harwood Avenue and Clements Road East. Police say she was “violently attacked, assaulted and sexually assaulted” by the suspect.
