Ajax teen missing since Sunday found safe

The 16 year old who was declared missing since Sunday morning has been found.

The teen, 16, had been last seen at his Ajax home near Williamson Drive East and Gillett Drive on January 9. There were concerns for his well being since his family did not believe he was dressed for the weather, as temperatures dropped into an Extreme Cold warning.

After a rigorous police search, investigators announced January 13 that the teen had been located safe.

“Investigators would like to thank everyone for their assistance,” police said in the announcement.
