Ajax school showcasing ‘Greatest Canadians’ at history fair

Students at Lincoln Avenue Public School in Ajax will be showcasing who they think is the ‘Greatest Canadians’ at a history fair at the school Wednesday.
The fair is a unique learning opportunity for students in Grades 7 and 8 to research, investigate, create, and present on who they believe is the Greatest Canadian in history. The students will then showcase their chosen man or woman of history and demonstrate how this individual has made a significant contribution to what we define as the Canadian identity.
The research will show how this person has positively affected society on a local, national, and global level, and the students will have to defend what makes their individual the Greatest Canadian.
The history fair will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pickering Village school.
These famous Canadians and lot more will be offered as choices for the senior students at Lincoln Avenue Public School in Ajax for the ‘Greatest Canadian’ history fair
