Ajax pals celebrate Diwali with $100,000 LOTTO MAX win

Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Vikneswararajah (Vik) Amirthalingam and Paramsothy (Param) Kathirgamu of Ajax. The two friends matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the September 27 LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000.
Amirthalingam and Kathirgamu, who have been pals for ten years, have been playing the lottery together for about five months. Their favourite game to play is LOTTO MAX and they always say yes to ENCORE.
Vik is the one who discovered their win. “I used the Ticket Checker and saw Big Winner – $100,000. I was shocked and excited!” he said. “I immediately called Param and told him to come to the store because we won!”
“I ran straight to the gas station,” said Param. “I was so surprised. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate Diwali.”
Vik plans to share his win with his wife and make a donation to support his community. “I plan to share with my wife who is recovering from knee surgery,” said Param.
