With the annual Perseid meteor showers on full display during August’s hot hazy nights, tomorrow evening is the perfect time to go stargazing, and the Town of Ajax and Canadian Planetariums can help bring out your inner astronomer.

The Ajax Public Library and Canadian Planetariums will be hosting a special presentation through the magic of Zoom on August 5, between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The program, which is for all ages, will guide participants looking to find constellations and the popular Perseids with little to no equipment.

And if fortune smiles upon you, the evening hours might offer you a rare but memorable earthgrazer, a very long, slow, and colorful meteor traveling horizontally across the evening sky.

There is no charge for the presentation but registration is required. Go to https://ajaxlibrary.ca/node/259 to register and to learn more.
