Ajax man runs over Oshawa round-about, runs red light, charged with impaired

A driver spotted by citizens running over a round-about in north Oshawa early Saturday morning has been charged with impaired driving.

Poilice say they received a call about the suspected impaired driver in the Simcoe Street and Conlin Road area about 2:30 a.m. and sent officers to investigate. A few minutes later police were able to locate the suspect after he ran a red light.

A 27 year-old Ajax man, who blew .230 – nearly three times the legal limit – was subsequently arrested.
