Ajax man loses control of truck; smashes into storefronts in Pickering Village

A 76 year-old Ajax man has been charged with careless driving after losing control of his van in Ajax’ historic Pickering Village neighbourhood and smashing into three storefronts.

Police say there was extensive property damage but no injuries were reported.

The man was traveling eastbound near Kingston Road and Church Street in his brown Dodge Ram when he lost control of his vehicle.
