Ajax man charged with weapons offenses in Picton

A man from Ajax was nabbed by the OPP in Picton on weapons charges following a traffic stop.
According to the OPP, they got a call about two men who approached a Picton home while armed around 2 a.m. on Jan. 18. When officers responded they saw a car leaving the home and pulled it over.
They arrested the two men who occupied the car and claim to have found two cell phones, knives and a conducted energy weapon, more widely known under the brand name Taser.
Caleb Williams, 18 0f Ajax, was charged with having knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Edosa Abdisa, 18 of Scarborough, was also charged with the above as well as disobeying a court order and firearm possession contrary to his probation.
Both men appeared in court later on Jan. 18.
