Ajax hosts Durham Pride Parade

The Durham Pride Festival kicked-off with the Pride Parade Sunday in Ajax.

The parade began at Falby Court, making its way to Arbour Park, where there were post-parade celebrations, including food, entertainment from Far From Infamy and others, as well as other attractions for the whole family. The after-parade-party ran until about 5 p.m.

Durham Region Council, Ajax Council and other participating agencies such as Durham Regional Police – along with the LGBTQ2+ community – all celebrated together, serving as a reminder that “we are all human beings worthy of love, no matter our sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.”
