Shortly after they were targets of a home invasion, two Ajax residents are facing charges of their own after a search warrant was executed at the house.

According to police, two teens entered a Boothe Crescent home on November 10 and held the homeowners hostage before stealing some items and fleeing the scene. One of the teens was allegedly armed with a gun.

The teens fled the area on foot, but were soon found and arrested nearby. They have been charged with nearly 40 combined offenses. Their identities are protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, but police noted both were from Toronto.

Now the victims of the break-in have been charged after police say they found drugs, cash and a loaded pistol in the home.

A man, 34, and a woman, 29, face 16 charges between them including, possession of a firearm outside Canada, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing, launder proceeds of crime, careless use/handle/storage of ammunition and careless use/handle/storage of firearm.

Both have been release with conditions. Anyone with information regarding these arrests can call Det. Burrows at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2521, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
