Ajax asking for feedback on proposed 20-unit townhouse project

The Town of Ajax is asking for community feedback for a possible three-story, 20 unit townhouse development on Cedar Street, just north of the 401.
Developer Firmland Inc. has applied for variances to allow construction on the building. They are asking to increase the zoning density and permit the design of the building, which is different from the detached homes in the area.
If approved the proposed building would fill the empty lot on the corner of Cedar Street and Knapton Avenue.
The town is hosting a public open house for residents to share their thoughts. The online meeting will be over Zoom from 7-9 p.m. on October 26. Residents wishing to attend must register in advance.
