Travellers with an eye toward some of the most beautiful scenery and fascinating history in Europe for their next big trip have a few new options now that Air Canada is increasing flights to Portugal, Spain and Greece out of Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Pearson officials announced on social media that Canada’s flagship carrier has started four weekly flights to Lisbon and Barcelona and three flights a week to Athens in time for spring and summer travel season.
In May, Air Canada will increase service to all three European hot spots with the introduction of daily flights, Pearson officials say.
Pearson also announced this week that weekly flights to Terceira in the Azores, a string of beautiful islands located some 1,400 kilometres off the west coast of Portugal, began on Tuesday.
That service, courtesy of Azores Airlines, will increase to twice weekly in June.
