Aggravated assault sends two men to hospital in Brampton, police turn to public for tips

Police are turning to the public for answers after two men were rushed to hospital after an assault in Brampton last weekend.

The incident happened shortly before 1:15 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 5) when Peel Regional Police say officers were called to a “disturbance” in the area of Goreway Dr. and Deerhurst Dr. in Brampton.

When officers arrived they found two male victims at the scene suffering from “significant injuries,” but police were unable to comment on the nature of the injuries.

A 24-year-old man from Brampton was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition, while a 23-year-old man from Brampton suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are asking members of the public for any leads and are reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the assault.
