1 dead, 1 injured in Brampton shooting as 3 suspects fled area

A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in Brampton on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 22), and a woman suffered non-life-threatening gunshot injuries in the attack.
Police also believe the shooting might be related to a a vehicle fire that was reported around the same time.
At 4:47 p.m., Peel Regional Police learned that one person was shot and a second person suffered a “gunshot-related injury” in the area of Airport Road and Countryside Drive. At 5:35, they confirmed a man was dead and that a woman has been taken to hospital. In the course of events, the PRP learned that an unoccupied vehicle had been set ablaze near Grenoble Boulevard and Williams Parkway.
