It took around 15 tries for an Ontario woman to complete a roadside breath test, which she ultimately failed on her last attempt, police say.

South Simcoe Police said that on Friday (Sept. 13) at around 2:40 p.m., officers received a report “of a vehicle driving aggressively and swerving out of its lane” in the Yonge Street and Line 8 area of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Officers quickly found the vehicle and did a traffic stop, police said.

“The accused agreed to do the roadside test but proceeded to blow incomplete tests due to the following: blowing too short, not sealing mouth correctly around the device, and blowing too hard,” a police spokesperson said.

“After approximately 15 attempts, the accused blew a fail. The first 14 attempts did not register a response due to the incomplete tests.”

A 43-year-old woman from Innisfil was arrested and charged.
