As one of the five teams in the league’s Eastern Conference, the Brampton Honey Badgers are a renowned professional basketball team comprised of some of the world’s top athletes, vying for a championship in what may be the most thrilling CEBL season yet.

Known for winning the 2022 CEBL Championship, the Honey Badgers have only been getting better this off-season with some major developments: the team recently signed 2025 CEBL MVP Candidate Sean East II, who scored the most points in a single CEBL season in 2025 with the Edmonton Stingers (582).
“Sean East II is an MVP-caliber player and a foundational piece to build our franchise around,” said Al Whitley, the recently appointed Honey Badgers CEO as of November. Whitley brings to the table his experience as a former NBA Executive for 22 years in the Dallas Mavericks organization.
“This marks a significant day for our organization and for our fans across Brampton and the entire Peel Region.”

Another recent addition was the signing of former NBA signee Landers Nolley II, who is coming off an MVP-calibre season in France and leading the league in scoring at 20.3 points per game.
“He brings high-level international experience, and his style of play will definitely complement our roster. We’re looking forward to welcoming Landers to the Honey Badgers family,” said Honey Badgers General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Jermaine Anderson.

The team isn’t just expanding with new talent – they’ve also welcomed Nav Bhatia, renowned “Superfan” for the Toronto Raptors, who will be bringing his trademark passion and enthusiasm as a community ambassador for the Honey Badgers.
Through the partnership, the organization will be working alongside the Superfan Nav Bhatia Foundation to inspire youth and organize community initiatives.
“What the Brampton Honey Badgers represent is an opportunity to work much closer with the youth in my own backyard, with the community I grew up alongside,” said Bhatia.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting season for the Brampton Honey Badgers. One of the original franchises of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, the team soared to victory with their first championship win in 2022, and they’re ready to do it again with an all-star lineup including Sean East II, Landers Nolley II, Keon Ambrose-Hylton, Prince Oduro and many more talented players.

They’re proud to call the CAA Centre home. Located at 7575 Kennedy Rd S here in Brampton, the massive sports complex seats up to 5,000 people and even features a full service 250-seat restaurant overlooking the community rinks.
