Faster trains on Milton GO line will help Mississauga commuters

Beginning Oct. 17, additional rush hour service will be added to the Milton GO train line.

According to the GO Transit website, one additional eastbound trip will depart Milton GO at 7:31 a.m. and arrive at Union Station at 8:33 a.m.

Another westbound trip will also depart Union Station at 5:25 p.m. and arrive at Milton GO at 6:25 p.m.

Along with the additional rush hour service, changes have also recently been made to certain GO Train schedules that have affected Milton residents travelling to Union Station.

According to Metrolinx, changes to certain GO Train schedules were adjusted to better reflect travel times while also helping people board more easily.

As more trips are added gradually, riders are encouraged to check schedules in advance and plan ahead.

“We’ll continue to pay close attention to travel patterns and do our best to keep service and train lengths aligned with demand,” reads the GO Transit website.
