A lucky Acton man is making plans for his windfall.

John Beaulieu, 53, won a Poker Lotto All In jackpot worth $175,327.20 on April 19. He also won $5,000 on the instant portion of his Poker Lotto play, bringing his total winnings to $180,327.20.

Beaulieu, a skilled trades worker, told OLG he’d been a regular lottery player for about 20 years.

“This is my second big win. I scored $50,000 on Daily Keno in 2018,” he said.

OLG said Beaulieu was at the store when he discovered he had a winning ticket.

“I won a small amount, so I asked for one more ticket. When I saw the jackpot reset, I realized I may have won a lot of money! The store clerk was cheering and celebrating for me,” he said.

OLG said Beaulieu plans to pay off some of his mortgage, purchase a new vehicle, and set the rest of his winnings aside for the future.

“This win gives me the space to enjoy more time with my hobbies. I plan to enjoy lots of fishing this summer,” he told OLG.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shell on Queen Street in Acton.
