A business in Acton recently received a grant for over $7,000 from the Community Improvement Program (CIP) Façade Improvement Grant Program to support renovations to their storefront.

The business, called Zapa Projects, located at 17 Mill St. East, was recently presented with a cheque for $7,395 by Ward 1 Councillors.

The old dance studio building was refurbished into a coffee house and birthday party, event rental space over the summer by John and Kaylee O’Sullivan.

Building restorations included new paint to the front and back entrances, a new sign and the retiling of the front entrance.

“They have done an incredible job with their renovation,” said Councillor Albano.

“This is a warm and inviting space where the Halton Hills community can gather and host their special events,” added Councillor Hurst.
